Mango Day is one of the most awaited and colourful events at Petals Growth Montessori and School. More than just a fruit celebration, it is a joyful activity that combines culture, fun, and learning. Children love mangoes, and we use this excitement to teach them important lessons in health, creativity, and communication.
On Mango Day, classrooms turn vibrant with yellow and green decorations. Children take part in creative activities such as mango drawings, colouring competitions, and craft-making, which enhance their artistic skills. They also enjoy storytelling sessions where teachers highlight the importance of fruits in our daily diet, especially mangoes, which are rich in vitamins and energy.
Students bring different mango dishes—juices, desserts, and salads—and share them with their friends. This act of sharing and caring builds kindness and respect among classmates. Teachers also encourage children to speak a few sentences about mangoes, which helps improve public speaking, vocabulary, and confidence.
The event is not just about eating and fun—it is about connecting with nature and understanding the blessings of seasonal fruits. Children learn the value of healthy eating, cultural traditions, and teamwork, all while enjoying their favourite fruit.
Mango Day becomes a beautiful memory for students, reminding them that education is not limited to books—it is in everything we celebrate, experience, and share.
